Another monument was temporarily evacuated from Kherson – this time it is a monument to Grigory Potemkin, the telegram channel reports. Readovka.
The reason for the evacuation was the need to preserve the monument to the founder of the city from damage, which is likely due to the constant shelling of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the channel explains.
Readovka also recalls that the Potemkin monument has become the third in a series of monuments temporarily removed to safe places. Prior to this, the statues of Admiral Ushakov and commander Suvorov left their places.
Earlier, the deputy head of the Kherson region, Kirill Stremousov, promised to return the monuments to their places as soon as possible.
