Floral print, over the knee boots, lingerie style and vintage look

At the end of February, the ready-to-wear fashion week of the autumn-winter 2023/2024 season was held in Milan. And I have an overview of the new trends that await us in the next cold season. Of course, most trends repeat themselves, traveling from one fashion capital to another. This is primarily a floral print, corsets, which are far from the first season in fashion, stockings, over the knee boots, lace and clothing models made of transparent fabrics, leather, voluminous shoulders and sleeves and, of course, a tight-fitting silhouette. To begin with, I will explain, just in case, to those who do not read me often, what the terms prêt-à-porter or ready-to-wear mean in fashion. This is the so-called wearable clothing that designers show on the catwalks, and then it will move into stores, and out of them and onto the streets. It will be produced in series, and not to order, as is the case with haute couture.

Lace, transparent clothes and lingerie for show – everything that characterizes the lingerie style was demonstrated in all its glory on the Milan catwalk by the favorites of Russian fashionistas Dolce & Gabbana. Also, elements of lingerie style for the coming autumn and winter were demonstrated by many brands, including Sportmax.

Deliberately worn or artificially aged clothes with transparent sexy inserts imitating washed jeans were chosen by the famous denim brand Diesel as their “horse”. Even the invitation to this Milan show was decorated in the form of a package of condoms. The effect of worn clothes was also used by Prada Fashion House. Another feature of the House is snow-white A-line midi skirts, straight, decorated with voluminous flowers and short minis.

Coloring cold gray everyday life with a floral print was offered at many shows, among them such brands as Antonio Marras and Jil Sander. Moreover, both boldly and visually combined flora with fluffy fur, boots and gloves in their models.

Over the knee boots aren’t a new trend either, but I’m glad it has lingered and blossomed in new trends, promoting a sexy feminine look amidst hoodies, sneakers, and tracksuits. Among other brands, MM6 Maison Margiela, Etro and Fendi made an emphasis on them in their collection. By the way, the last brand presented over the knee boots with holes in the knee, and at the show at Etro, coarse over the knee boots were successfully combined with a stole scarf, another feature of the autumn-winter 2023/2024 collection.
