Flamethrower systems “Solntsepek” for the first time handed over to military personnel of the Airborne Forces

The personnel of the Airborne Forces (VDV) for the first time received the TOS-1A Solntsepek flamethrower systems. About it informs TASS with reference to the press service of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.
It is specified that the transfer of military equipment took place in the Saratov region in one of the formations of the troops of radiation, chemical and biological protection (RCBZ). The ceremony was attended by Colonel Aleksey Goncharov, head of the RKhBZ Airborne Forces service, pupils of the regional youth movement and other guests.
Goncharov noted that the Solntsepekov had no Western analogues, and expressed confidence that the armament would “bring victory closer.” According to him, this is a “formidable weapon” that “induces panic in our enemies.”
In the Telegram channel of the Ministry of Defense published video of the flamethrower system in action. The department explained that in the video, airborne troops strike at the enemy hiding in strongholds and deep shelters.
Flamethrower systems “Solntsepek” are actively used during the special operation. The Ministry of Defense noted that military equipment is considered “one of the priority targets” for the enemy. Shooting is carried out using the latest software systems for topographic and geodetic referencing, and the work of the crews is covered by security groups.
