The head of the Finnish government, Sanna Marin, speaking at a meeting with the ambassadors of the republic, said that the country is ready to strengthen sanctions against Russia. Marin also expressed the view that Finland should completely abandon the fossil fuels of Russia, even taking into account the fact that energy prices are rising.
During the meeting in Helsinki, Marin said that Finland could strengthen relations with Estonia and other Baltic countries.
Earlier, Marin said the country plans to invest in strengthening the border with Russia and ensure “sufficient military capability.” She also said that Finland would not create blocs within NATO, but would cooperate with the North Atlantic Alliance.
