Finland is alarmed by empty territories near Russia’s borders
The commander of the Eastern Finland Border Guard, Heikki Ahtiainen, said in an interview Ylethat people cannot be replaced by fences on the border with Russia and the use of the latest technologies.

Earlier, the press service of the Finnish Ministry of Internal Affairs announced plans to accelerate the construction of a fence on the border with Russia. For this purpose, €74 million has been requested for the construction of a fence on the country’s eastern border.
