The Polish Ministry of Defense stopped the exercise after the death of the fifth soldier
The fifth soldier died in Poland during mountain training. Because of the incident, the Republic’s Ministry of Defense issued a decree suspending all military exercises using explosives and military equipment in the country.
The Polish Defense Ministry also reported that an investigation into the circumstances of the death of the special forces soldier had begun.
According to reports, this is the fifth time military personnel have died during training since early March. So, on the 5th, two soldiers were run over by an infantry fighting vehicle, as a result of which both soldiers were killed.
Two more soldiers – sappers – died due to the unauthorized detonation of a TNT charge on March 25.
It is clarified that this order does not affect those who “are preparing to participate in foreign missions and operations outside the state, as well as training Ukrainian soldiers.”
