Speaking about the president’s reaction to Kudrin’s resignation, Peskov noted that “in such situations, there is hardly any place for an emotional reaction.” “They really worked side by side for decades. Kudrin himself, as you know, in his statement noted that he had in mind to continue to focus on large projects that affect a large number of people. One way or another, some intersections with the state will inevitably take place,” he said.
The Kremlin did not announce candidates for the post of head of the Accounts Chamber. Meanwhile, as informed previously RBC, the first deputy chairman of the State Duma, Alexander Zhukov, may become a candidate for this post. According to the source of the publication, he is the main candidate, Zhukov is personally supported by Kudrin, but other options are being considered.
