Federal Tax Service blacklisted Canada and the Cayman Islands

The official Internet portal of legal information has published an updated list of states approved by the Federal Tax Service that do not provide for the exchange of tax information with the Russian Federation. The “black list” of countries with which the exchange of data necessary for tax authorities has been terminated now includes the “offshore” Cayman Islands and Canada.
“Approve the list of states (territories) that do not provide information exchange for tax purposes with the Russian Federation, in accordance with the annex to this order,” the published document says.
After the addition of two new subjects, the “black list” includes 89 states and 16 territories.
As noted in the order, the relevant changes will take effect from the first day of the next year, 2023.
