The Federal Customs Service (FCS) will not return to publishing statistics in the near future, Ruslan Davydov, acting head of the department, said. The FCS stopped publishing data in the spring of 2022.

“A real economic war is going on against us, so we see no point in playing along and revealing our cards in the short term,” Mr. Davydov said in an interview with RIA Novosti on the sidelines of SPIEF.

He saidthat since the beginning of the year, the share of trade between the Russian Federation and the countries of the European Union (EU) has fallen to 18%. According to Ruslan Davydov, Russian imports are almost recovered to pre-crisis levels, and physical exports fell by 2%. He said that China, India, Turkey and Azerbaijan have replaced the EU in Russia’s foreign trade.
