FAS will check the fines for sellers on Wildberries

The Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS) of Russia will, in accordance with the established procedure, check the mechanism of fines for sellers of Wildberries, RIA Novosti reports with reference to the department.
Reportedly, this will be done on the basis of a letter from a member of the public council of the antimonopoly service Alexei Kozhevnikov. He asked to find out how legally Wildberries fines suppliers.
Earlier it was reported that since December 1, fines against sellers at Wildberries have become widespread. Suppliers are fined for incorrect dimensions of goods, and the mechanism for determining the amount of the fine is unknown, Wildberries also does not specify the reasons for the fine and does not provide a justification.
The company itself said that fines for incorrectly indicated dimensions of goods were canceled on December 12. At the same time, Wildberries accuses suppliers that some of them incorrectly indicate the size of the goods, trying to get lower shipping rates. This entails losses both for the platform itself and for carriers.
