FAS opened a case against Aeroflot due to false advertising

As the FAS explained, there was an advertisement in the Aeroflot magazine about the free transportation of ski or snowboard equipment, which is provided to the passengers of the flight. However, the applicant, who contacted the Office, said that he had to pay twice for the transportation of equipment. As evidence, he attached checks.
The FAS warned that if found guilty, the airline would be held liable in accordance with the law on advertising.
According to data on the Aeroflot website, the airline provides free transportation of skis and snowboards from December 7, 2022 to May 15, 2023. It is noted that one ski set includes skis, poles and boots for them or a snowboard and boots.
The rules specify that transportation is possible if there is space in the luggage compartment, and it must also be pre-agreed with the airline at least 36 hours before departure. In this case, the conditions do not apply if the ticket fare does not include the free baggage allowance.
