The Federal Antimonopoly Service initiated a case against Aerofolot airline for violating advertising laws. The company charged for the transport of snowboarding equipment, although the advertisement indicated that this service was provided free of charge.
As stated in message FAS, Aerofolot indicated in the logbook that the airline provides a free service for the transportation of ski or snowboard equipment. The passenger who bought tickets for the airline’s flight paid twice for the cost of such equipment, after which he complained to the Federal Antimonopoly Service.
According to the law, advertising that contains information that does not correspond to reality is recognized as unreliable. “Aerofolot” under the law “On Advertising” may face a fine.
