FAS demanded to reduce the cost of fuel at gas stations

The Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS) sent a letter calling for vertically integrated and independent gas stations to reduce fuel prices. The regulator’s press service reported this.
“In the absence of measures taken by organizations, the FAS will consider them as signs of a violation of antimonopoly legislation,” the message emphasizes.
The agency noted that it has already opened six criminal cases on grounds of violation of the law on the protection of competition in five regions.
A day earlier, the FAS reported a decrease in prices for motor fuel in the Neftmagistral network of independent gas stations. Since September 28, the cost of AI-92 gasoline there has decreased by 2.36 rubles. and amounted to 54.91 rubles, AI-95 – by 3.17 rubles. up to 59.92 rubles, for diesel – by 2.4 rubles to 65.79 rubles.
The cost of gasoline and diesel fuel at gas stations in Russia decreased for the first time since spring. According to Rosstat, from September 25 to October 1, gasoline of all types fell in price for the first time since March 6, and diesel – since May 10. The price per liter of AI-92 gasoline decreased by 0.4% and amounted to 51.41 rubles, AI-95 fell in price by 0.5% to 56.16 rubles. The cost of diesel fuel decreased by 0.1% to 64.9 rubles/liter.
