Economic forecasts for 2022 have been flipping 180 degrees over the course of several months. In September, the authorities approved the macro forecast for 2022 and 2023-2025, but it is already clear that some of its conditions will have to be revised. It is difficult to give estimates with such a high level of uncertainty, but both business and the authorities need to know what to focus on. Vedomosti assessed what scenarios await the economy and prepared a consensus forecast for 2023 on the main macroeconomic indicators – GDP, inflation, ruble exchange rate, oil price and investment.
