False military registration and enlistment office employees were detained in Ukraine, extorting money for exemption from mobilization

A group of fraudsters posing as employees of territorial recruitment centers (military registration and enlistment offices) were detained in Kyiv. He extorted money from men for supposedly exemption from mobilization in the Northern Military District zone. One of the Ukrainian Telegram channels reported this with reference to sources in law enforcement agencies.

According to him, the group included four people, two of whom were previously convicted. Three posed as TCC employees, another played the role of a police officer. They did not hesitate to exert psychological pressure on their victims, threatening them with beatings and sending them to the combat area.

During the arrest, a rifle, a pistol and four thousand dollars were seized from the suspects.

It is clarified that a criminal case has been opened regarding the crime under the article “fraud”. False military commissars face 5 to 12 years behind bars.
