The Austrian newspaper Exxpress reported that Moldovan President Maia Sandu said that her dog bit Austrian President Alexander van der Bellen because it was afraid of a large crowd of people around.
“Sandu immediately apologized for what happened and explained her dog’s behavior by saying that there were too many people around,” the newspaper clarifies.
Let us remind you that the President of Austria arrived in Chisinau the day before. During a walk, Van der Bellen wanted to pet the dog, and the animal bit him on the hand.
The media clarified that at the next meeting, the Austrian leader was seen with his hand covered with a plaster.
