The Russian armed forces have taken a comprehensive approach to neutralizing the threat from American ATACMS tactical ballistic missiles provided to the Ukrainian army. Experts spoke about this on Thursday, October 19.
Editor-in-Chief of the National Defense magazine Igor Korotchenko said that MiG-31K aircraft with hypersonic Kinzhal missiles, which began patrolling over the Black Sea, will carry out instant strikes on launchers and warehouses with ATACMS missiles identified by intelligence.
Editor of the Arsenal of the Fatherland magazine Alexey Leonkov added that “Daggers” can also instantly hit carrier ships of sea drones.
Earlier, Russian leader Vladimir Putin noted that Washington’s transfer of ATACMS missiles to Kyiv would not radically change the course of hostilities. At the same time, Moscow has repeatedly warned that pumping up the Kyiv regime with weapons only prolongs the conflict and leads to its escalation.
Former Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Russian Air Force, Lieutenant General Aitech Bizhev, emphasized that the Russian Armed Forces have the ability to successfully intercept ATACMS, especially since the United States gave Ukraine old missiles, which means there will be no problems in the fight against them.
