Managers of Russian companies will continue to hire employees in the next 3-4 months, although not as actively as in the past year of rapid recovery after the corona crisis. This is stated in the report of HSE experts “Composite indicators of employment in the basic sectors of the Russian economy: the expected focus of changes in the labor market in the third quarter of 2022”.
The Employment Expectancy Index (EHI), a leading indicator calculated by the institute based on surveys of company executives and economic indicators, amounted to 103.5% for the 1st and 2nd quarters of 2022. This is only slightly below the value of 2021, when the PHI was above 104% (104.2% in the fourth quarter of 2022), according to the study.
