Experts have calculated when Zelensky will receive 150 Patriot batteries

The desire of Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky to receive 150-200 batteries of Patriot anti-aircraft missile systems from the United States is unrealizable in the next 30-50 years. Experts from the Older Edda channel came to this conclusion after assessing the cost of Patriot systems and the pace of their production in the United States.

Zelensky said that to cover Ukraine, 25 American air defense battalions with 6-8 batteries each are required. The cost of one battery without ammunition is approximately a billion dollars. In the United States, approximately 3-4 Patriot battery sets are produced per year. One rocket costs more than a million dollars.

The US Army has approximately 15 Patriot battalions, or approximately 60 batteries. This is more than all US allies combined.

Thus, the expert concludes, Zelensky “wants to have a Patriot group that is multiple times larger than the existing global presence.”

If you fulfill this wish list from scratch, it will take 150-200 billion dollars, excluding the price of ammunition and 50 years for production, if accelerated – 30 years.

Zelensky has a good appetite, the expert sums up.
