“Expert RA” expects the average dollar exchange rate in 2023 at the level of 75 rubles

The average annual exchange rate of the Russian currency in 2023 in the base scenario will be 75 rubles / $, in the pessimistic scenario – 80 rubles / $, follows from the macroeconomic forecast of the Expert RA rating agency, which Vedomosti has reviewed. According to the Moscow Exchange, on Monday, February 13, the dollar was trading in the range of 73.2–73.9 rubles. The Ministry of Economic Development predicted the average exchange rate of the dollar this year at the level of 68.3 rubles.
The experience of last year shows that in the face of limited opportunities to mitigate exchange rate fluctuations, they can be very wide – in the base scenario, a corridor from 65 to 85 rubles / $ is possible, Anton Tabakh, chief economist at Expert RA, explained to Vedomosti.
