Russian military expert Alexei Leonkov in an interview with “Izvestia” assessed the effectiveness of the Ukrainian corvette “Hetman Ivan Mazepa”, which was launched the day before in Turkey.
According to him, at present there is no information about the armament and equipment of this vessel.
“I believe that in the near future we will find out what is on board this ship,” Leonkov said.
He specified that now the Russian Navy has both corvettes and submarines. Russian ships in a collision with enemy ships win, everything ends in favor of our fleet.
Recall that Ada-type corvettes were developed as part of the MILGEM project for the Turkish Navy. In 2008, the first ship of this type was launched. On board the corvettes are the RAM anti-aircraft missile system and Harpoon anti-ship missiles.
