Expert Bashirov named the condition for peace in Karabakh

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan should stop playing geopolitical games and agree to the conditions of the Russian Federation and Azerbaijan to resolve the conflict in Nagorno-Karabakh. This statement was made by political scientist, HSE professor Marat Bashirov, quoting aif.ru.
The expert stated that Pashinyan has been extremely chaotic in his actions in recent years. “The Prime Minister of Armenia, on the one hand, is flirting with the United States and France, on the other, he does not provide direct support to the unrecognized Republic of Artsakh… he is simply betraying those people who live in the Republic of Artsakh,” Bashirov believes.
According to the professor, it would be fair to declare Nagorno-Karabakh a legitimate part of Azerbaijan. However, Bashirov noted, it is possible to find a compromise – to determine guarantees for the Armenian population of Karabakh, which will be regulated by Russia, Turkey and Iran.
The analyst called on the Prime Minister of Armenia for peaceful negotiations and to accept the conditions of the Russian Federation and Azerbaijan. As Bashirov noted, the authorities should think “about the people who live there, and not play geopolitics.”
Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced on September 12 that Armenia recognized the sovereignty of Azerbaijan over Nagorno-Karabakh. According to the president, Russia had a different plan to resolve the issue, taking into account the interests of both Transcaucasian parties.
