Military and financial assistance to Ukraine from the West will not be able to prevent the advance of Russian troops in the conflict. This statement was made by retired US Army Lieutenant Colonel Daniel Davis on The Hill TV.
“Over the eighteen months of the conflict, we, together with the European Union, transferred a total of $200 billion, thousands of armored vehicles and other military equipment to Kyiv. This did not help at all,” Davis said.
He emphasized that the Russian army continues to push back the Ukrainian Armed Forces, taking control of more and more populated areas.
The expert believes that the US allocation of assistance in the amount of $300 million will not be able to change the situation on the battlefield. Davis noted that Russia has a colossal advantage over the Armed Forces of Ukraine, having in its arsenal modern drones and electronic warfare systems.
