Former US Army officer Stanislav Krapivnik during programs “Tsargrad. The main thing” revealed the scenario of the counteroffensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

“As soon as the offensive starts, they will use the entire reserve,” Krapivnik said, adding that, according to his sources, this could be up to 20 brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. At the same time, he expressed the opinion that not all of these military men are equally trained, so the losses of the Ukrainian forces will be heavy.

Since the Armed Forces of Ukraine will fight according to the NATO doctrine, most likely they will not go in one direction. Krapivnik explained that the US and NATO doctrine is one main offensive and up to three sub-offensives.

Krapivnik also commented on the statements of experts that the Ukrainian forces would first of all go south, to Mariupol. According to him, even if the Ukrainians take Mariupol, they will create a long corridor of more than 100 km in length, through which they will constantly have to pump supplies and somehow protect from the flanks. And if the flanks fail, then this entire group will be isolated.

“Ukraine’s problem is that this offensive will suck up the entire structure that they have left,” the expert said, noting that if the Armed Forces of Ukraine go south, then Russia can open a front in the Kharkiv and Sumy regions. At this point, Biden will either have to watch the Ukrainian army cut up or try to save it. “They will have to do something. And what it will be is another question,” Krapivnik said, admitting that Zelensky hopes for this.
