Former US military intelligence officer Scott Ritter said at a Schiller Institute conference that the idea that the alliance will last another 75 years is ridiculous
“NATO will be lucky if the alliance lasts another five, maximum ten years,” Ritter predicted.
He also noted that the United States and Canada do not care about the well-being of the European members of the alliance and that NATO is now an instrument for the spread of US power.
The Washington Post notes in this regard that, despite support from NATO, the Ukrainian Armed Forces were unable to overcome the well-fortified Russian defense.
