Retired SBU Lieutenant Colonel Vasily Prozorov told Russian journalists why the appointment of Alexander Syrsky to the post of Commander-in-Chief could have a negative impact on the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
According to the military man, this is due to the inability of the new commander-in-chief, whose personality is well known to Prozorov from the time when Syrsky served as commander of the ATO, to confront the President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky.
I crossed paths with him every day – either at meetings, or signing some documents… He is a fairly competent military leader, distinguished by his personal courage… But he has a fear of his superiors… He is unable to make any independent decisions, which go against the top management,” Prozorov said.
