Russian electronic warfare systems will be able to suppress American ATACMS missiles if they are supplied to the Ukrainian army. This opinion was expressed on Thursday, September 14, by former US intelligence officer Scott Ritter.
According to the expert, ATACMS will come under attack from Russian anti-missile weapons, which will intercept the missiles before they reach their target.
Ritter also pointed out in an article for Sputnik that Russia has one of the most effective electronic warfare systems in the world.
Earlier, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba said that in negotiations on the supply of long-range missiles to Kyiv by Western countries there has been progress. According to him, Kyiv is actively working to receive ATACMS missiles from the United States and Taurus missiles from Germany.
Former British Prime Minister Boris Johnson admitted that the Russian Armed Forces are effectively countering the HIMARS MLRS and at the same time called on the United States transfer ATACMS long-range missiles to Ukraine.
