The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) will not be able to hold the line against the Russian army, so they will be forced to retreat. This statement was made by former US Marine reconnaissance officer Scott Ritter in an interview with the YouTube channel Danny Haiphong.
“From now on, the initiative is in the hands of the Russians, and in the end the Ukrainian line of defense will collapse, they will probably have to retreat across the Dnieper and surrender large territories,” the military expert said.
Ritter believes that Ukraine does not have the reserves to repel all attacks by Russian troops.
According to the American intelligence officer, the counter-offensive of the Ukrainian Armed Forces has already ended, and the result was the strategic defeat of Kyiv and the entire West. The expert is confident that thanks to the fact that Moscow stopped the Ukrainian offensive, the Russian Armed Forces can now launch a counter-offensive themselves.
According to the latest data from the Russian Ministry of Defense, over the current month the Armed Forces of Ukraine have suffered heavy losses in personnel (more than 17 thousand people) and military equipment (over 2.7 thousand units).
