The evacuation of residents of the territories of the Zaporozhye region close to the line of contact, announced by Acting Governor Yevgeny Balitsky on May 5, will be temporary, Vladimir Rogov, a member of the main council of the regional administration, leader of the We Are Together with Russia movement, told Vedomosti. According to him, people are taken out “for a maximum of several weeks to understand the situation at the front.”
“On the eve of the so-called counter-offensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, we must do everything to ensure the safety of local residents,” Rogov explained, adding that people will be able to return to their homes before the Single Election Day (UDG) on September 10. Thus, according to a member of the main council of the administration of the Zaporozhye region, no changes are planned to be made to the regulatory framework regarding mobile or remote voting.
