Eurozone inflation rises to record 10.7%

The annual inflation rate increased most in Estonia (22.4%), Latvia (21.8%) and Lithuania (22%), fell in France (7.1%), Spain (7.3%) and Malta ( 7.5%).
Prices for food, alcohol and tobacco rose by 1.5%, energy – by 6.5%, non-energy manufactured goods – by 1.2%.
Inflation in the Eurozone has been on the rise since March. Analysts give a forecast for an increase in the level until the end of 2022. The International Monetary Fund (IMF) believes that about a third of the world economy expects a recession. The organization has lowered its global economic growth forecast for 2023 to 2.7%.
