Europe has spent almost €800 billion to overcome the energy crisis

Since the beginning of the energy crisis, European countries have collectively spent €768 billion to overcome it. Of these, €657 billion came from the European Union, €103 billion from the UK and €8 billion from Norway. These are the latest datapublished by the research company Bruegel. Germany allocated the most funds (almost a third of the total amount) for various measures to support the population and business. It is followed by Great Britain, Italy, France. Further, by a wide margin, all other countries.
The study takes into account the funding allocated by governments of countries to overcome the negative effects of rising energy prices. Including measures aimed at regulating prices, reducing taxes and fees, increasing benefits for certain categories of the population, and others.
