According to EUobserver, European countries may include several Russian public and cultural figures on the sanctions list at once.
Thus, the updated list may include Boris Korchevnikov, general director and general producer of the first public Orthodox TV channel Spas, Marina Kim, host of the Good Morning program on Channel One, singer Grigory Leps, blogger and publicist Dmitry Puchkov (Goblin), as well as a film director Nikita Mikhalkov and political scientist Sergei Mikheev.
In addition, the EU authorities plan to freeze the assets of Russian businessman Yuri Kovalchuk, who, according to Brussels, maintains close contacts with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
In the near future, the European Union will cancel the broadcasting licenses of three Russian channels – NTV/NTV-Mir, Rossiya 1 and REN TV.
