The EU countries have approved the tenth package of sanctions against the Russian Federation, the representative office of the Swedish Presidency of the Council of the European Union reported.
The EU was going to introduce the next sanctions by February 24, 2023. The approval of the tenth package of sanctions lasted 3 days, during which European diplomats could not reach a consensus.
The disputes concerned various aspects, for example, proposals to limit the import of rubber from Russia. The parties could not agree on how tough the new restrictions in this area should be.
As reported, export restrictions on dual-use goods and technologies will now be tightened, as well as restrictive measures will be introduced against individuals and legal entities.
