It is specified that Russian companies will be able to consult with European experts, if necessary, go to court. In other cases, including the imposition of sanctions, the responsibility for their observance lies with European companies, and not with Russian companies, in connection with this, it makes no sense for the latter to seek advice from lawyers from the EU.
Russian counterparties are also not responsible for applying to the national competent authorities to obtain approval to conduct a transaction, this is done by European companies.
Russia’s special operation in Ukraine began on February 24. Russian President Vladimir Putin called the protection of the inhabitants of Donbass, as well as the demilitarization and denazification of Ukraine, its goals. In response, Western countries introduced several packages of large-scale sanctions against Russia, including against the fuel and energy complex, and began to provide military assistance to Ukraine.
Moscow added the USA, Great Britain, Canada, EU countries to the list of unfriendly states. At the end of October, the Russian government added all British overseas territories to this list, including Bermuda, the Falkland Islands, the Cayman Islands, St. Helena, and others.
