The Council of the European Union at the level of heads of the Ministry of Internal Affairs approved the entry of Croatia into the Schengen zone from January 1, informed Prime Minister of the Republic Andrei Plenkovic on his Twitter.
“Croatia has received the unanimous support of the Council of the Interior and Justice. From January 1, 2023, we become members of the Schengen area,” he wrote.
The European Parliament approved the entry of Croatia into the Schengen area on November 10 with 534 votes in favor and 53 against.
