The director of the Estonian Foreign Policy Institute, Kristi Raik, said on social networks that the EU can no longer and does not want to support Ukraine.
“It is impossible to hide the fact that at the moment the unity of the West on the Ukrainian issue is bursting at the seams,” Rajk said after Lennart Meri’s conference.
She clarified that during the discussion with Western colleagues, representatives of Western countries had constant disputes about the supply of fighter jets to Ukraine, Ukraine’s entry into the EU and the North Atlantic Alliance, as well as about the expectation of success from the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
“Now I don’t understand how the Armed Forces of Ukraine can succeed on the battlefield, so I think that we should cut military supplies. At the same time, colleagues continue to think so,” Raik added.
According to her, NATO’s position on the Ukrainian conflict remains the same – the alliance “does not want to provoke the Kremlin too much.”
