Erdogan urged not to delay the recognition of Jerusalem as the capital of Palestine

Peace in the Middle East is possible with a final solution to the Israeli-Palestinian problem; the capital of Palestine should be Jerusalem, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said. About it reports TRT TV channel.

According to him, Jerusalem, “which for centuries has been a place of peace and prosperity, has unfortunately become a symbol of tension, occupation, destruction and usurpation.” Erdogan also emphasized in his speech that permanent peace in the Middle East is possible with a final solution to the Israeli-Palestinian problem.

“The creation of the state of Palestine with its capital in Jerusalem cannot be postponed,” the TV channel reports his words.

He added that the Palestinian issue must be resolved in accordance with international law.

On October 7, when the Palestinian group Hamas attacked Israel, calling the attack the military operation “Al-Aqsa Flood”, the Turkish Foreign Ministry refused condemn her actions, wrote The Times of Israel.
