Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said that the West is now in a panic about how it will spend the coming winter in the face of rising energy prices.
“The West is in a panic about what it will do,” Erdogan said at a press conference in Croatia. He expressed the hope that “with reasonable steps we will survive these trials.”
Earlier it was reported that the Czech Republic, which presides over the European Union until the end of 2022, intends to remove from the agenda of the meeting of the EU Council of Ministers on Energy, scheduled for September 9 in Brussels, the issue of introducing a price ceiling for natural gas from the Russian Federation into the EU.
According to the Minister of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic, Josef Sikela, setting a price ceiling for Russian gas is “a political tool, not a solution to the energy crisis in Europe.”
