Turkey respects the position of Russia and believes in its non-involvement in the incident with the fallen rocket in Poland. This statement was made by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan at a meeting with journalists following the participation in the G20 summit.

“I have to respect the position of Russia, which said that this is not their missile. This is important for us,” said the Turkish leader (quote according to TASS).

He also recalled that earlier US President Joe Biden questioned the Russian origin of the rocket. According to Erdogan, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz has already come forward for a detailed investigation of what happened.

On November 15, Polish media reported that in the country fell two rockets, killing two people. Against the backdrop of these events, the Polish authorities called an urgent meeting of the national security committee. It was noted that the explosions occurred in the village of Przewodow in eastern Poland, but their cause was not officially named.

The Polish Foreign Ministry said that the weapons were allegedly Russian. In this regard, the Russian ambassador to the republic, Sergei Andreev, was summoned to the ministry. At the same time, the Pentagon reportedthat they do not have data that would confirm the Russian origin of the missiles.

The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation also refuted Polish media reports about the fall of Russian missiles. The agency called the publications a “deliberate provocation” and stated that Russia did not strike near the Ukrainian-Polish state border.

Earlier today Biden declaredthat, judging by the trajectory of the missile, it is “unlikely” that it was fired from the territory of the Russian Federation. “But we will see,” the American president added. Following the meeting in connection with the incident in Poland on the sidelines of the G20 summit, the leaders of the G7 countries and NATO announced that they would support the republic in investigating the incident.

Also about Russia’s non-involvement in the fallen rocket in Poland reported Associated Press. The agency, citing three US officials, wrote that Ukrainian troops fired the missile to shoot down a Russian projectile.
