Erdogan: Russia and the United States agreed in Ankara on the non-use of nuclear weapons

The heads of the Foreign Intelligence Service and the CIA, Sergei Naryshkin and William Burns, during a meeting in Ankara, agreed to refrain from using nuclear weapons. This was announced by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan to reporters upon his return from the G20 summit.
“According to information received from the [турецкой] intelligence, Russia and the United States discussed the non-use of nuclear weapons, and the parties currently have no attempts to use them, ”said the Turkish leader (quote according to TASS).
Erdogan also noted that Turkey is interested in seeing the meetings of the Russian and American sides take place more often. According to him, Ankara is ready to make efforts for this. Erdogan once again stressed that the use of nuclear weapons should not be allowed, as this could lead to the start of a “new world war.”
Russian-American talks took place in Ankara on November 14. Information confirmed Press Secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov. He noted that the meeting was held at the initiative of the United States.
