Erdogan called a just peace in the Middle East with Washington impossible

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan made a statement in which he noted that Ankara had lost hope of resolving the Palestinian-Israeli conflict.
“Thanks to the US veto, the decision on a ceasefire was not made,” he said, commenting on the results of the UN Security Council meeting on the situation in the Gaza Strip.
He added that it has become clear once again that the world is larger than the five permanent members of the UN Security Council.
“It is necessary to reform the UN Security Council,” Erdogan called, emphasizing that Turkey will continue to act “in defense of the mothers of Gaza.”
Let us recall that earlier the UAE proposed to the UN Security Council a draft resolution on an immediate humanitarian ceasefire in the Gaza Strip. At the same time, the document also contained a demand for Hamas to immediately and without preconditions release all hostages. The US vetoed this resolution.
