Energodar announced the suspension of energy supply from the Zaporizhzhya NPP to Ukraine

The supply of energy from the Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant (ZNPP) to the territories controlled by Ukraine was suspended after the power line was damaged due to Ukrainian shelling. About this “RIA Novosti” told in the military-civilian administration (VGA) of Energodar.
“Specialists are working on a power line previously damaged by shelling by the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Two damages were detected on lines 330 and 750… On-site specialists report that, taking into account technological features, the output power generated by power units varies. The provision of electricity to the territories controlled by Ukraine has been suspended due to technical difficulties,” the CAA said.
According to the pro-Russian authorities of Energodar, the fifth and sixth power units of the Zaporozhye NPP are in working condition, the radiation background is normal.
During August, the station and Energodar were repeatedly shelled by the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the pro-Russian authorities and the Russian Defense Ministry reported.
On September 1, an IAEA mission arrived at the territory of the Zaporozhye NPP. The experts inspected the territory of the station, accompanied by representatives of the Russian “Rosatom” and employees of the station. The specialists were also shown parts of the facility that had suffered from shelling by the Ukrainian military.
Mikhail Ulyanov, Russian permanent representative to international organizations in Vienna, said that two specialists from the mission would remain at the Zaporozhye NPP on a permanent basis. IAEA will present report on the ZNPP visit to the organization’s governing board early next week.
