This may take several days.
Earlier, the operator of the Polish section of the Russian Druzhba oil pipeline reported a leak on one of its two lines, which could have been caused by depressurization. It is noted that the leak happened on the highway through which oil enters Germany. Alexander Frolov, deputy general director of the National Energy Institute, said that it could take a few days to fix the leak.
According to the expert, at the moment there is no information on how big the leak is and how big the damage to the oil pipeline is, but if the leak is small, then it can be fixed in a few days.
In addition, the power engineer recalled that Russia has already encountered difficulties in supplying oil to Germany. As Frolov noted, after the theft of Rosneft’s share in oil refineries by Germany, the Russian company announced that it was impossible to fulfill the previously concluded contract. Thus, according to the expert, she will not be able to supply oil until the conclusion of a new contract, so deliveries to Germany were already difficult.
Frolov concluded that Germany has alternatives, but they will lead to a reduction in oil refining, especially since the country has problems with the volumes available to them.
