Employees of LADA in Izhevsk were offered 5-7 salaries for voluntary dismissal

Company “AvtoVAZ“offered employees of the car plant in Izhevsk, which produces cars of the Lada Vesta series, 5-7 average salaries or 12 minimum wages in case of voluntary dismissal, additional financial support in training and assistance in further employment, informs “Interfax” with reference to the press service of the company. It is specified that at the same time mass layoffs are not planned.
A payment of 7 average salaries will also be offered to employees near retirement age upon early retirement. In addition, the company will extend paid parental leave until the end of 2023 or until the child reaches the age of 4.
The company also announced its readiness to sponsor further training of employees, which may be useful to them in their further employment in Izhevsk and Udmurtia, as well as help them find a job.
All these measures are aimed at “providing employment and increasing the maximum load of the enterprise in connection with the ongoing crisis in the supply of components for Lada Vesta and the suspension of production of cars of this family,” the company said. In total, the plant employs about 3,200 people.
Those employees who decide to stay with the company will be able to undergo retraining for further transfer within the group. In addition, AvtoVAZ intends to develop stamping and plastic production in order to localize imported products.
The plant located in Izhevsk has been idle for more than five months, in connection with which the trade union organization at the end of July sent an open letter to President Vladimir Putin, in which he spoke about the unpredictability of future prospects, including in connection with plans to transfer the assembly of Lada Vesta to plant in Togliatti. Prime Minister of Udmurtia Yaroslav Semyonov said that the final decision on the capacity utilization of the plant and the future of the staff will be made in August-September by the company’s board of directors.
