Elbrus. Point of No Return: Wrong Turn

On September 23, 2021, a group of tourists, accompanied by four instructor guides, climbed Elbrus, and on the way back they got into a snowstorm. Five people died, 11 were hospitalized with injuries and frostbite. The media wrote a lot about this case, and the Investigative Committee opened a criminal case against the organizers of the campaign.
Documentary series “Elbrus. The Point of No Return, directed and screenwriter Kirill Verkhozin (known as one of the screenwriters of the film almanac The Chief Accountant. The Story of a Firm), is released on the anniversary of the tragedy. Judging by the rather long running time (five half-hour episodes), it is called upon to investigate in detail what happened: to restore the course of events, to make out what went wrong, perhaps to give new, previously unknown information.
