Eighth Bvlgari Hotel Settles in Tokyo

The Bvlgari Hotel Tokyo, which opened in the Japanese capital, became the eighth hotel of the Bvlgari Hotels & Resorts chain. With 98 rooms and suites, this Tokyo hotel is located on the 40th to 45th floors of the Tokyo Midtown Yaesu skyscraper, overlooking the gardens of the Imperial Palace. The building is within walking distance of the Nihonbashi and Marunouchi business districts, the Ginza shopping area, and the red-brick Tokyo Station.
The unity of the Italian style and Japanese traditions in the decoration of the hotel is the merit of the Milanese studio ACPV (Antonio Citterio-Patricia Viel). Interior designers managed to combine the exquisite world of Italian chic and the tranquility of the Land of the Rising Sun. “This is an opportunity to share the Italian experience of luxury, design and creativity in a relaxed environment that reflects the spirit of Bvlgari,” said Jean-Christophe Babin, CEO of Bvlgari Group.
The ribbon was cut with Jean-Christophe Babin by the governor of Tokyo, the Italian ambassador to Japan and guest star actress Anne Hathaway. Italian singer Simona Molinari performed before the guests, accompanied by a jazz trio, followed by an excursion and tasting of the author’s set from Bvlgari Hotels & Resorts chef Niko Romito. The celebration ended at the rooftop bar overlooking the city at night.
