Egyptian President calls Israel’s actions beyond self-defense

Israel’s actions in the Gaza Strip go beyond self-defense, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi said at a meeting with US Secretary of State Antony Blinken.

“The response that is now being observed goes beyond self-defense. This is an unprecedented crisis. We are working hard to de-escalate. If there is a delay in decisions to stop hostilities, even more civilians will suffer,” the Egyptian President said (quoted by RIA Novosti).
