From December 1, all taxes that were not paid became public debts. Many celebrities owe large amounts of tax money. Among them was the actor Mikhail Efremov, who was in prison. In 2021, he accumulated 154 thousand rubles of tax debt. This site reports KP.RU.
It is noted that out of the total debt, Efremov must pay 95 thousand rubles for property (houses, apartments), 59 thousand – transport tax. Most likely, on the second point, he owed money precisely for the jeep, in which he got into a terrible accident.
The actor’s lawyer Andrei Aleshkin noted that while in prison, his client does not have the opportunity to pay all taxes, even technical ones. At the same time, he stressed that being in correctional institutions does not exempt from paying tax payments.
The human rights activist was surprised that Efremov’s relatives could not do this.
