The Ministry of Culture of Russia decided to adjust the rules for issuing a film distribution certificate. It will not receive tapes that promote non-traditional sexual relations, pedophilia and gender reassignment.
Draft government decree on amendments to the rules for issuing a rental certificate published on the portal of draft legal acts.
“A rental certificate for a film is not issued if the film contains … materials that promote non-traditional sexual relations and (or) preferences, pedophilia, gender reassignment,” the document says.
On December 5, President Vladimir Putin signed into law a law banning LGBT propaganda on the Internet, the media, advertising, books and movies.
