The Russian news agency and online publication Regnum has a new editor-in-chief. Modest Kolerov, who held this post for many years, was replaced by Alexander Grigoriev, who was appointed acting editor-in-chief. About it “Interfax” said a representative of Regnum LLC, the founder of the agency.

The representative said that “Modest Kolerov’s statements about the raider seizure do not correspond to reality.” “The current management of the company represents the interests of the owner, and all his actions are carried out in full accordance with the established corporate procedures and the norms of the current Russian legislation,” the representatives of the founder said.

Yesterday, November 2, Mr. Kolerov informedthat the agency is suspending broadcasting due to a change in ownership of the company’s management.

Since 2014, Yulia Krizhanskaya has been the CEO of Regnum LLC, according to the Unified State Register of Legal Entities and the archived copy of the site. Modest Kolerov said that the owner of Regnum fired Ms. Krizhanskaya and appointed “a person from REN TV” as the new CEO. The management of the company managing the agency was changed without explanation of the reasons and goals, the message on the Regnum website said. The work of the agency is suspended “until the situation is clarified,” it noted.

At the time of the news release today, November 3, the Regnum website was unavailable. “The site is temporarily unavailable. Our specialists will fix this soon,” the agency’s main page said.

Regnum was founded in 2002, Modest Kolerov was one of its co-founders. Since 2015, the agency has been fully and directly owned by Sergei Rudnov, the son and heir of the founder of the Baltic Media Group, Oleg Rudnov.
